V-CARD

For close to 20 years, John has focused his practice on the representation of clients in matters involving professional negligence, healthcare law and employment related issues.  He has extensive trial experience and has represented clients in both state and federal court as well as before administrative agencies such as the Board of Registration in Medicine and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.

John believes in taking a comprehensive and preventative approach toward his employment practice.  He advises clients on issues such as: the development and review of personnel manuals; employment contracts; counseling through human resource conflicts; and trial representation for employment related litigation issues.  In an effort to avoid litigation, John has provided extensive training on employment related topics such as behavior in the workplace, discrimination (Age, Race, Gender, Handicap, etc.), harassment, and retaliation.

John’s representation of healthcare clients includes physician groups, hospitals, health maintenance organizations, physicians of all specialties, nurses, optometrists, midwives, dentists, and mental healthcare professionals. In addition to representing these clients in matters involving professional negligence, John has represented these organizations and individuals in contract disputes, regulatory matters, licensure issues, peer review proceedings, employment disputes and Risk Management related matters. As is the case with his employment practice, John has lectured and trained extensively on all the above issues.

Prior to actually joining a law firm, John was employed by Aetna Life and Casualty for 10 years where he worked in the Domestic and International Reinsurance arena.

John is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
