Doug focuses his practice on a wide variety of insurance defense matters, primarily concentrating in general casualty, property, construction and product liability.  For the past ten years and prior to joining Melick, Porter & Shea, LLP, Doug worked as a civil litigation associate responsible for subrogation matters and the defense of general liability, property/casualty, breach of contract, automobile tort, and workers compensation cases from inception through trial.

While in law school, Doug was a student prosecutor in the Criminal Clinical Program.  He was a founding member of the Former Service Law Society and an active member of the Environmental Law Society.  Prior to law school, Doug served in the United States Marine Corps in the infantry as a machine-gunner.  He served a tour in Southwest Asia in Desert Shield/Storm and received an honorable discharge.   Doug also served as a police officer with the Jaffrey Police Department in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. 

Doug is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
