John handles complex civil litigation, primarily defending manufacturers in products liability litigation.  John has defended over a dozen clients involved in asbestos litigation in multiple jurisdictions.  He coordinates and manages all asbestos litigation handled by the firm in the New England area.  John also has trial experience in cases involving medical malpractice, construction litigation, premises liability, civil rights litigation, insurance fraud, sexual abuse matters, commercial litigation, professional liability and criminal law.

After law school, John served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office for three years where he was a senior trial attorney representing the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in major felony prosecutions in the Superior and District Courts.  During that time, John participated in over 200 trials.

John has more than 20 years’ experience in all aspects of trial practice in both state and federal courts in Massachusetts , Connecticut , Rhode Island and New Hampshire .  He has been named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer and has been awarded Martindale-Hubbell’s highest, “AV” rating.

John is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, the District of Columbia, Connecticut, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, and the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire.
