John Caletri, an associate in our Rhode Island office, was recently a guest lecturer at a National Business Institute seminar entitled, "Insurance Coverage Law." John lectured on current and pending legislation and case law. He also spoke about Homeowners Insurance, Automobile Insurance, and Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Coverage.

Kate Katzenberg and Holly Cruise have both been nominated for the annual Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Unsung Hero Award. The Unsung Hero Award recognizes those who perform internal corporate citizenship and cultivate pride within their companies, and whose exceptional efforts should not go unnoticed or unrewarded. Kate and Holly were recognized at the awards luncheon on October 17, 2007.

J. Paul Vance has received the New Haven Business Times Forty under 40 Award. Paul was recognized at the recognition breakfast on October 5, 2007.

We recently welcomed John J. Reardon to our Boston team.

For close to 20 years, John has focused his practice on the representation of clients in matters involving professional negligence, healthcare law and employment related issues.  He has extensive trial experience and has represented clients in both state and federal court as well as before administrative agencies such as the Board of Registration in Medicine and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.

John is a 1999 graduate of Roger Williams School of Law and will continue to concentrate his practice in the defense of complex civil litigation and toxic tort matters. Prior to joining Melick, Porter & Shea, John worked for a leading litigation firm where he focused on civil litigation.
