The Transportation group represents individuals and corporate clients, along with their insurance carriers, involved in transporting passengers, goods, or both. Our representation covers the defense of tort claims, contract claims, and freight claims. Our attorneys are knowledgeable about commercial vehicle insurance issues that arise in the context of claims in this area and have represented insurers in the handling of a variety of complex transportation insurance matters. In conjunction with the firm's
insurance coverage and appellate practice groups, we also represent
insurance carriers in coverage matters which arise from underlying
transportation cases and in which a thorough knowledge of the underlying
transportation case is crucial in addressing the coverage issues. All of
our attorneys have training and experience with the nuances of the
trucking industry and are active members in related organizations
including the Trucking Industry Defense Association, RIMS, and the
Defense Research Institute.
