Carolyn is a partner at Melick & Porter's Boston office. Carolyn joined the firm in 2014, after having worked at another Boston insurance defense firm for over five years.
Carolyn has extensive experience in defending individual and corporate clients in a wide variety of complex multi-party construction related matters, including personal injury, wrongful death and breach of contract claims in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts. She also has considerable experience representing property and business owners in premises liability claims and trucking companies in disputes related to commercial vehicle operations. Carolyn has obtained favorable outcomes for her clients by way of summary judgment and alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.
Carolyn secured a defense verdict for her clients in a complex multi-party environmental remediation cost recovery case. The trial, which lasted six weeks, was decided by a jury in the United States District Court in Boston.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Carolyn received her B.A. from Boston College and received her J.D. with Honors from New England School of Law. Carolyn is a member of the Boston Bar Association and the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association. She has been recognized as a Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Star for the past three years.
Carolyn’s practice is focused on construction, premises and general liability defense, and representation of clients in disputes involving environmental contamination and remediation.
